Ken Winett

Ken Winett has played extensively around the San Francisco Bay area for the past 24 years after spending his early musical career in Los Angeles under the tutelage of Duke Ellington's lead trombone player, Britt Woodman. Besides playing with many jazz/rock/Cajun and pop groups, Ken has played in many of the area's symphonies and opera companies. He has performed with such notables Lou Rawls, Milton Berle, Ernie Andrews, and Joe Williams. In addition, Ken has been recorded on many albums. For the past 16 years Ken has been on the jazz faculty at Santa Rosa Junior College, and for the past 8 years on brass faculty at Sonoma State University.
