Paul Larkin - Guitar

When I was 10 I played the ukulele in a school talent show. It was a duet with an accordion player named Gary Miller. I guess it was then that I got hooked on performing music for audiences. In the 60′s I played folk and jug band music in clubs in and around San Francisco, like The Drinking Gourd, the Catalyst, New Orleans House, Coffee and Confusion. We opened for the Youngbloods, Country Joe, Chet Baker, and played a lot of gigs which I can’t remember any more.Moved into folk rock, and played the San Francisco scene. Played the Garden of Earthly Delights, the strangest bar I’ve ever experienced. It was like a circus side show, and alternately taken over by the Hell’s Angels, Hot Tuna, and freaks of every variety. Since moving to Sonoma County, I’ve played with several local rock, blues, and jazz groups including the Smilin’ Iguanas, the Psuedocrats, and Los Cool Cats. I started playing with Blue Moon about 10 years ago, and after a hiatus of a couple of years, I’ve been back with them steadily for about three years. It’s the best collection of musicians I’ve ever played with, and I think we know how to make any gig a party!
